MRS Training & Rescue
“MRS is proud to be named as a finalist in the Training Team Category. Receiving recognition on a global platform is a testament to the dedication, commitment, and singlemindedness that our employees demonstrate every day in our goal of keeping people safe.” Stuart Hoult – Chief Executive Officer
For over 115 years, MRS Training and Rescue has developed its skills base, together with considerable experience and knowledge gained from working in some of the most hostile and potentially dangerous environments imaginable, to affect the rescue of mineworkers from underground mines. In more recent years the demise of the UK mining industry has seen the organisation diversify into other sectors, and this background and expertise now supports a comprehensive range of health and safety related products, training and services available to a wide range of organisations. The company utilises the knowledge and expertise of its staff, all of whom are highly trained and qualified to assess client needs and seek sensible, practicable solutions to their health and safety issues.
Employing over 160 people across seven specialist sites we provide health and safety training and rescue cover for high-risk situations worldwide, maintaining our specialisms in Confined Spaces and Working at Height. We are proud to be an accredited GWO training provider and have offered training to the Wind Industry for over ten years, investing in our people and premises to deliver best in class training using first-class facilities. This process will continue with the opening of an eighth site in the north of Scotland in 2022.
Our teams are passional about what we do, and all work towards the same goal, unchanged since our inception in 1902, which is to keep people safe.
