Ann has been working with GWO actively in the Training Committee since 2014, and has been Chair of the Training Committee since 2022. Today, she is Global Learning Leader at GE Renewable Energy.

Claes Grove

Business Strategy Manager, Global Wind Service

Claes has been working in wind for the past 6 years. As Head of Training he designed Global Wind Service training program and lead the establishment of the Global Wind Service Academy. Today, Claes is Business Strategy Manager for Global Wind Service.

Eloy Jáuregui

Health & Safety Director, Acciona Energy

Eloy Jáuregui is an Industrial Senior Engineer and Executive MBA in Sustainable Global Business with more than 25 years in Health & Safety management. He has been working in the Renewable sector for the last 20 years. Since 2009 is Health & Safety Global Director of ACCIONA Energy. He was part of the first steps of the Global Wind Organization and during 2018/2020 took its Chairman position. Eloy is the Vice-Chair of GWO’s Board of Directors.

Claus Rose

Vice President EHS Renewable, GE

Claus is currently the Vice President EHS for GE Renewable Energy, as well as Business Continuity Management. He previously worked for Siemens from 2008 to 2018 in various positions, all in the EHS & Quality area. He previously owned a consultancy company dealing with special constructions to be risk assessed to match legislation. He served 20 years as an officer in the Danish Army, with international postings and holds a university degree in management and business administration from the Danish Army.

John Barrie

Vice-chair of the GWO Executive Committee

Global Head of Training, Vestas Wind Systems A/S

John has worked in senior training roles within the renewable energy and industrial sectors for a number of years. At GWO he helps co-ordinate the development of new standards alongside the secretariat.

Kate Harvey

Global Offshore Wind Health and Safety Organisation General Manager, G+

Kate Harvey is the General Manager of the G+ Global Offshore Wind Health and Safety Organisation. The G+ is owned by the world's largest offshore wind operators and WTG OEMs. It is committed to promoting and maintaining the highest possible standards of health and safety throughout the lifecycle of offshore wind farms. Kate began her career in renewable energy at RWE in 2002. Kate then joined SSE in 2008, where she undertook the following roles: Consents Manager for Greater Gabbard, Project Manager for Galloper, SSE Asset Manager for Dogger Bank and Board member of Seagreen. Kate has been the G+ General Manager since 2016.

Peter Lukens

Head of Service EQS North America, SGRE

Peter Lukens is responsible for the management of the Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental activities pertaining to the Service business in North America. Having worked in various areas of the organization since 2007, Peter looks to utilize past experiences and relationships to continue to assist and improve Siemens Gamesa towards a greener tomorrow. Peter served as the O&M EHS Working Group Chair from August 2016 through March of 2020 and is currently the Vice Chair of the Wind Workforce Standards Committee and Vice Chair of the G+ North America Focal Group.

Hannah Howard

Head of Asset Systems and Integration - Onshore Wind - SSE

Hannah Howard has a Master of Engineering at the University of Birmingham. She has more than 10 years' experience in the energy industry working across a range of disciplines including engineering design, project management, energy transition, operations and business development. Prior to SSE she has worked in Exxon Mobil in various capacities.

Will Kenyon

Vice-chair North America Committee

Project HSE Manager - Ørsted

Will began working on Orsted’s Northeast projects in 2019 as an HSE Advisor, and now works as the Project HSE Managers for the Northeast Projects. Before coming to Orsted, will worked as a safety professional in a number of energy related fields. Such as ultra-deepwater drilling, nuclear power-generation, and environmental remediation and emergency cleanup of the Deepwater Horizon and New Orleans (post-Katrina). Most recently, working on an EPA Superfund project of near-shore and inshore environmental dredging and remediation of the New Bedford harbor and surrounding shores. Will lives in Plymouth, Ma with his wife Jacquelyne and 3 children Finley, Graham, and Deacon. He and his wife are golf enthusiasts and when the tee times don’t work out you can find them at the beaches or on the waters around Plymouth.

Yniel Sandberg

Offshore Wind Safety Compliance Program Manager - Dominion Energy

Originally from Connecticut, Yniel got his MSc from the University of Gothenburg and started his career in offshore wind in Denmark in 2010. He’s been back to the US since 2017, now working with the nascence of the offshore wind industry in federal waters. Lead HSE Advisor for the first Offshore Wind Farm in Federal waters in the USA, Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind. Duties included reviewing and commenting documentation for HSE content in all packages and preparing the Emergency Response Plan and the Construction HSE Plan. Inspecting all vessels and sites. Environment, Health and Safety is all about bringing about positive change. It is about looking at risks and daring to make the changes that will see the risk diminished. It is about understanding that we live in an imperfect world, where if we invest the pain of doing what is necessary and right from the beginning, we won't have to pay when time runs out. Here you'll find someone who likes to take initiative and make things happen. Someone who won't look away when the risks are there, someone who will tell you about where there is room for improvement, and then work with you to find an intelligent solution.

Valter Moro

Head of Global HSEQ Enel Green Power and Thermal Generation, Enel

A global experience during 25 years in energy sector in Enel Group (a multinational energy company operating in more than 30 Countries worldwide with more than 80 GW of installed capacity) mainly in Power Generation, both Thermal and Renewable energies, and Energy Management in Italy, Spain and Chile. 2014-2019 years, strong experience as General Manager of Enel Group generation companies in Chile. Appointed CEO of Enel Generation Chile in November 2014 (largest generation Company in the Country with 6.3 GW of installed capacity) and then CEO of Enel Green Power Chile (1.2 GW of installed capacity) the first one a listed company on Stock Exchange in Santiago de Chile (BCS). Both roles held until October 2019.

The GWO Safety & Training Forum brings together GWO's community for a heavyweight programme of inspiration, industry insight, networking and dialogue across two days of workshops, roundtables as well as plenary sessions. There will be plenty of opportunities to contribute your experience and understanding about the hot topics in safety and training in the wind industry.
